Water System Design FAQs

Q: Can you help a business to quantify their water supply needs?

A: Yes, we are often engaged to carry out research in advance of a project to measure the existing conditions. This enables us to establish the future performance requirements of a system. Depending upon the needs of the client we might measure flows at points of use, or the changes in mains water pressure with respect to time. Whatever measurements are required we can prepare a performance specification for the new scheme that is agreed with the Client before further design work is undertaken.

Q: Can you conduct land surveys?

A: Yes, we will determine all of the topographical information required to enable the scheme.

Q: How do you ensure that you meet your Clients needs?

A:  Regular meetings are held with the Client to ensure that the scheme continues to meet their requirements. These would typically include the meeting to agree the scope of the project and meetings at the completion of the preliminary design and detailed design phases. Further meetings usually coincide with tender awards, pre-commencement and construction phases of a project.

As a part of our quality management system the meetings also serve to review our performance which we continually strive to improve.

Q: Can you manage the tender process?

A: Yes, we are happy to provide the Client with any assistance they require in a tendering process. We will prepare contract documentation, manage the tender invitation and receipt, and scrutinise tenders as a part of the tender award phase. We will tailor our services to meet the needs of our Clients.
